Bought for my husband. It was easy to set up, is easy to use, and have had no problems to this date. It's a nice alternative to having a 2nd cable box in the bedroom.

I have been using Roku's for several years now and when I bought the roku 3 I could not have been happier.... It's great. I love the fact that it has wifi.

inconsistent quality

I have 2 Roku players on 2 sets, an older Roku, and the v.3. The 3 gives inconsistent picture quality, has dropouts, sometimes loses the signal. Quite often the closed captions will get out of sync with the video, which can sometimes be corrected by quitting the channel, and then restarting the program from that point. I never have these issues with the older unit on the other TV

I bought my Roku 3 a while back so that I could watch something in the bedroom while my boyfriend and his friends played video games in the living room. I love the quick setup and easy navigation to the apps I use the most; Netflix and Amazon Prime.

We lost our Roku along with all our other electronics during the super storm Sandy in 2012. I finally replaced the Roku and upgraded to a Roku 3. I especially love the headphone option, so now I don't keep my husband up with my documentary addiction!

I have bought several Roku devices and specifically two Roku 3 devices; one for my family and one for my in-laws. I specifically bought this to easily and cheaply stream Netflix from a television without having to rely on TV providers to provide updates for their in-set applications or purchase yet another expensive Internet-ready device such as a game console or a Blu-Ray player. My favorite aspect of the Roku 3 is that I find it to have the most useful versions of all the services and applications I want: Netflix, Amazon Prime Streaming Service, and my other favorite services run best on the Roku 3.

I've toyed with the idea of buying a streaming tool, but just recently jumped in. Looked at the Chromcast and the lower priced Rokus. Glad I bought the "3".
