I love my Roku 3 - it's fast and easy to use. I use it primarily to watch Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant Video. Never gives me any issue - highly recommend!

I love that there are now multiple user profiles, so my viewing & recommendation list is separate from the kids!
It's been a great device, far better than the 'smart' apps built into my other appliances.

I've owned one of every generation of Roku, barring the first gen non-hd. I've been consistently impressed with the *features* and the video/audio quality. All of them have been great, and the newest one is no exception. My one hang-up with Roku devices is the interface. Netflix, for instance - all the titles arrange in horizontal bars is not something I like. For this reason, when "browsing" for something to watch, I use an AppleTV to add things to my queue, then watch them on either the AppleTV or the Roku3. The *only* reasons I still have the AppleTV are airplay, and the that I like the interface (for HBOGo, Hulu, Netflix). The Roku is hands-down faster, the picture quality and audio quality are better than the AppleTV. If the Roku interface (for Netflix, HBOGo, Hulu) were the same as the AppleTV, I'd ditch it (AppleTV) in a heartbeat. I do not in any way regret the purchase, but I would urge Roku to take another pass at their interface. The horizontal bars are *annoying*, and limit the content that can be displayed on-screen. If I want to see "westerns", I'd like to see a screen full of them - not a single horizontal bar of them. Again, other than the interface - I love it!

Very good product, but it could be better

My main complaint about the product is the remote. When I first got it I had no idea it would require so many AA batteries being replaced. The I checked comments on line about the remote and there are ways you can preserve battery life including setting the remote upside down when not in use. But on my own I found when the remote became unresponsive I simply switched the same batteries and off you go. I do this several times before having to change the batteries. I also have the Apple hockey puck streamer and it uses a 3V battery and the remote is low tech not an anywhere remote like Roku's is. I like this much better and switch between devices because sometimes the Roku gets hung up as does Apple when streaming live sports.

The Roku 3 player is an excellent device for home entertainment. We enjoy our 3 units a lot in many different rooms.
I would recommend purchasing one for anyone who is considering a streaming type player.
There are more channels added all the time so it is hard not to find entertainment that you will enjoy.

We own 3 Roku 3 devices and have been very impressed with them. For the most part we have cut the cord and just stream through our Roku's. Tons of options for things to watch, and games to play. I have no negatives about the Roku

This is my third Roku and I am very disappointed. It locks up almost every time I use it. I loved my first two. I Rarely if ever had any problems with them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
