I love this product, but the battery life in the remote is very short. Before, I could only stream netflix through my bluray player and now it comes right through the TV and the sound is great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this a few months ago along with roku2 and a roku stick to cut down on our cable bill. I am so addicted to t.v. I thought it would be hard but with the roku I have Netflix, Redbox, Hulu and AmazonPrime and I get a lot of tv shows. The one thing I did miss was being able to watch live news when they did away with Aero so I did buy an hdtv antenna. To save money this is a great way to do it. Have found great tv shows I would have never seen had it not been for this.

Good Product, but problems with wifi connection.

I have owned the Roku 3 player for 3 years, service for 7 years. I like the service when it works. I have tried the Roku 3 with various modems and wifi setups. None of them worked well with the wireless setup due to connection problems and slow speeds. I have 20mbs wireless speed. Other devices can pick up the wifi signal, but not the Roku: spotty. I finally bought 50 feet of cat5 cable and laid it on the living room floor during viewing (hardwired). Works fine that way, but cumbersome.

Wonderful Roku

I got rid of cable and had no idea what to do. Several people suggested the Roku and I went and got it. Absolutely love it. I'm looking to get the streaming stick for my bedroom TV.

I live in Italy and this is my lifeline to the US! No matter what you want to watch, odds are there's a Roku channel were you can fine it.

Saved money

We bought our Roku device, because we cancelled our cable tv.
It has saved us lots of money. There are several free channels. Sky News, PBS, A&E, Fox and Lifetime to name a few. It's a good alternative specially for Netflix or Huluplus subscribers who don't have these features built in to their TV or DVD or gaming device.
I just wished the remote had a separate one step/instant subtitle button on it.
