Great Ui

I also have Roku 2 and Apple TV. While Apple is still the sexy looking one, a system lock up prompted me to add another streaming player to my collection: Roku 3. Whilst the remotes are not even in the same league - Apple small and shiny, Roku bulky and plasticky, the difference comes in the use. The UI on Roku3 is a markedly better upgrade. I mainly utilize Netflix and HBO, and using the Roku is a joy. The only other complaint is the multi-directional pad in that there is no central OK button, this is now below the 4 way switch, and makes the movement a little unnatural.

It's been about a month and the Roku has performed better than expected. I'm just a phone call away from cancelling my cable TV.

I bought this back in April and my kids absolutely love it. They are watching movies and shows I watched when I was growing up

Easy setup, great features

I have not used Roku a lot because I have a backlog of recorded programs to wade through. When I do use it I am very pleased with it and glad I decided to buy it. I anticipate that at some point in the future I will drop subscription TV altogether and Roku will be my sole source for entertainment.

We were tired of paying the big bucks to the big cable companies, and decided to 'downsize.' Well, really, we upsized with Roku, because now we are saving over $125 per month! Winner winner, chicken dinner!! We have two Rokus: one for a spare TV, and one for our main TV. They were SO easy to install, that a 10 year old could do it. While, it takes some getting used to (watching programs a day later), we wouldn't go back to cable. Unless of course, they can offer the same savings...forever!
