ROKU allows me to watch TV without relying on cable/satellite. I LOVE that. It streams wonderfully!

My ROKU 1 2 &3

ROKU 1 was great for its fist model that i owned and still have. I tried ROKU 2 and it simply SUKKED so i returned it withen 3 days. So i was happy to see the ROKU 3 and i was hassenent at the same time. I purchased the full model with remote that had head phone jack -usb port & extra memory micro SD slot, the only bug i noticed was using the headphone the screen would display low battery witch it wasent, but minor bug asside i was completly satafied with this model.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The sound up and down on the remote don't work for the head set. the volume is way to loud . I have a hearing problem if it's too loud for me it is unbearable for the average jo

My review title name is my summary. ROKU got it right. Easy easy easy. Our only family request is we would like to be able to move the icons around. I've recommended the ROKU player to 50+ peers and am happy to provide this quick review.

Great product by far

I am so glad I bought this Roku player 3 a few months ago. Our family loves it. The remote let you plug in your head phones which is wonderful for watching tv while others are sleeping. Set up is so easy especially with the wireless feature. Using the Roku is easy to use.

Roku 3 or FireTV

I bought the roku 3 and the fire tv at the same time they both work very well, but the roku give you a better choice at setting up your device. You will be able to add more channels with the roku 3 which is way I would buy it over anything that is out their right now even the fire tv from amazon and it is nice also but the roku 3 give me better and more channels and that is what is important to me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Many apps, but unnecissarily region restricted

+ The Roku player has US apps for just about every service and offers an optional development kit to roll your own.
- You need to register with Roku, using your credit card, to install any of them. Big brother is watching. When I first used my Dutch credit card, I couldn't see many apps, including Neflix. This is strange, because Netflix recently started it service over there too. Why would the apps be region restricted? I can imagine the content is, but not the apps. Why do I need to register and provide personal information, even if I do not wish to used any paid feature.
