Best media player on the market!

I brought this almost a year ago and it has been one of the best purchases I have made. I wish it had a web browser but other than that it is amazing.

This is the fourth Roku device I have owned and by far the best. It has very good response when navigating the various menus and services. The new menus give the viewer a quick look at the type of video and a quick synopsis of the content. I recently tried the Apple TV and realized how restrictive the options were for viewing content that I returned it and bought the Roku 3. I have absolutely no regrets!

I quit cable so turned to Roku. Easy to set-up. Dislike that you need your cable provider to sign up for things like ESPN or certain networks.
Not bad for monthly price, but wish I didn't have to wait days until the new shows arrived from the networks.

One other thing...You can't "turn off" the unit unless you completely unplug, but I guess its meant to push any updates through as needed.

100% better then cable

The power and the speed this little box has for as little as it is, is amazing. Love it for that fact that I can still watch news broadcast even though its a day late and can also watch good shows on Netflix that isnt all reality like on TV. Saves me over $50 from when I had cable and would never turn back.

Love this device. Super fast and user-friendly. Love the non-IR remote too. We also have an AppleTV but the Roku overall works much better.

My Roku 3

One of my friends actually informed me of the Roku device and how it had some really great features that would enable my bedroom tv to function just like a smart tv. Once I purchased the Roku 3 and installed it in my bedroom, I was now able to open up a whole new world of viewing pleasures. My wife and I absolutely love our Roku 3 as it gives us hours upon hours of viewing pleasures that we didn't previously have access to on our Sony TV. We're now able to enjoy movies and internet content that we love to watch and a whole bunch more.

Good Basic Netflix & PBS- USB Software Limit 1-2GB

Works well to access Netflix and the free applications like PBS & news. However, it is time for a software upgrade to allow up to at least 8-16 GB USB thumb drives for pictures and video presentations.
