it is probably a fine device, the old Roku that it replaced certainly was. I have yet to use this new one. Find it easier to get content elsewhere

Great for busy schedules

With Roku I can access my expensive cable subscriptions in other places. This saves me money and allows me to catch up on missed favorites while away from home. The few times I have had a problem it was easy to chat or call customer service.

Good player, but I prefer the Roku 2

I have had one of every generation Roku streamer for Netflix, which is all I use it for. The Roku 3 is very good, but all in all I prefer the Roku 2, which I kept for use in another room. First, the Roku 3 will autoplay episodes of a series where the Roku 2 won't. While this can be a nice feature, I like to fall asleep while watching Roku and would actually prefer it just stop after an episode. Second, the Roku 3 seems less stable, and I find I have to reboot it more than my Roku 2 - no more than once a month, but still, I rarely ever have to reboot Roku 2.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I don't watch cable but I use roku 3 to watch whatever is online, and the player is very good.

After getting fed up with increasing costs of satellite dishes we decided to try the Roku 3 after reading reviews and have been pleased with the product. It was easy to install and simple to use, all the reviews were spot on.
