Enabled me to save a fortune in monthly fees on my cable. Since I access my movies via ROKU I was able to cancel my premium TV channels from my cable account..

Best Roku Model to date

I've had the first two generations (Roku 1 & 2) and the Roku 3 is definitely the best to date. With a more powerful processor the Roku 3 opens and navigates through channels much faster and more smoothly than the previous models--not there aren't still problems. Roku's always on design draws energy 24 hours a day and necessitates the unit being unplugged to manually reboot on occasion (sometimes it will reboot on its own while you are using it). The media player for video and music files played from a USB stick sucks--Roku doesn't support a wide variety of file formats. Then there's the Micro-SD card slot. To figure out which cards Roku accepts you need to check message boards because Roku provides no information--I have a card in mine that Roku can read but I have no idea if Roku is actually using it for anything. Roku also isn't really a cable substitute because most of the channels that are available you won't ever want to watch and the channels for HBO, Fox and Sho all require a cable subscription. Still, if you want to stream Netflix, Hulu or Amazon the Roku 3 is excellent. There are also multiple channels that allow you to stream audio and video files from your computer.

Simple, small, nice price. A great improvement compared to the Roku 2. Havent used my DVD/BlueRay players in months!

Bought Roku about one month ago, very pleased so far, only have netflex so far but it had more than I could ever watch.

I am so happy to have ROKU. I use it daily at least 4 hours. The 3 best things I like, is that I can avoid commercials, extremely large selection of programs and the remote control use of headphones and adjustment of audio level with the ROKU Remote control.
I just wish it were easier to delete shows and web sites.
