Faster, much faster than I expected

I have been using Apple TV through 3 generations. I had the Roku from the first generation but it landed in a drawer after I got the 2nd gen Apple TV. I bought the Roku 3 when Aereo became available in my area, I have NOT been disappointed. It is SO much faster than the Apple TV in loading Netflix and has a wide assortment of channels to choose from when I need a change. I still use my 3rd gen Apple TV but Roku 3 is my go-to device for 80% of what I view. I am very pleased.

Lots of free channels. good selection. I am going to disconnect the high priced cable. The only thing i will miss is my local news .channel.

Little Box - Big Value!

I'll be honest - I bought this little box so I could watch WWE Network in my living room without having to invest hundreds in a game console that would take up a lot of space and money. I made the right choice. Not only does Roku 3 give me access to the Network's service, it gave me access to Netflix, IHeartRadio, Vudu (digital movies - many Blu-Ray or DVD you buy already have activation codes) and more. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because I'm a DirecTV customer and many of the free channels for major broadcasters lock their content to a cable provider - not satellite. If I could activate those channels with DirecTV you'd get a 5 out of 5 Roku review across the board.

We cut the cable, and we're so glad we did. Now we choose what to watch, when we want to, instead of just "vegging out". And we saved the purchase cost in the first month!

I have been telling everyone I know. I get live news on live stream and sky news! I have cut my cable bill in half. I now have 3. I use for the guest rooms. They are free to watch many things when they retire for the evening. I love my ROKU'S!!! I would definitely be a spokesperson for this product!

I bought the Roku 3 at the same time that I bought an Apple TV. The Roku 3 ends up being used more often due to its' broader viewing selection.

I had my doubts about streaming my tv programs and had a hard time parting with comcast. I've had my Roku3 for about a month now and can't figure out why I didn't do this sooner. I'm very impressed with the picture quality since it broadcasts 1080p. The picture is actually better than broadcast through comcast. I don't have much experience with this type of unit but would highly recommend this one as it is easy to use and set up
and is capable of hundreds of stations, some free, some not free. I chose Netflix so far and am quite happy with the whole setup. Goodbye Comcast :)

great picture quality and lots to watch

I bought the Roku 3 rather than one of the earlier models since I have Comcast's slowest "high speed" internet, and I wanted to be sure I wouldn't have a lot of buffering. The Roku 3 really works well, with good high definition picture quality and very little buffering. I'm very pleased: I'm paying for Netflix and Hulu Plus, and I downloaded over 80 free apps. and am streaming lots of free movies and great music from Pandora and several other great sources. I just wish there were some way to stream CBS, TNT, and USA Networks' programming.
