I've been a cord-cutter for a couple of years now ; Started with a Roku and moved up to the Roku 2 and 3 models ; Very easy to setup and use. Decent selection of channels. Things i would like to see? a Roku channel that offers "Playon" type functionality ; A filter in the channel store, I want to see new channels, but not necessarily every new religious channel..

Love the features

My husband and I bought a Roku 3 when we moved to our house because we were taking advantage of the move to cancel our cable subscription. We don't really miss cable very much because we're able to watch a lot of the shows we liked though Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu on the Roku. We particularly like being able to watch videos from Youtube on our TV. However, there is one problem we have occasionally with our Roku 3. Sometimes, the sound is slowed down and this causes videos to skip to try to keep synced with the video. When this occurs, I have to restart the Roku with the button sequence (home button five times, rewind twice, fast forward twice, up once) or unplug the unit. This is slightly frustrating and I wish it would stop happening!

I brought my ROKU3 in June and have enjoyed watching some old time TV shows and movies. I really brought it because I was sick of the cost of cable/dish prices going up each month. A few of my favorites programs were on ROKU, so instead of paying cable prices to watch I purchased ROKU!

Enjoy it every night, only thing that would make it out shine then all have the news ie CNN , ABC, NBC .etc live and ESPN live wouldn't be able to keep them on the shelf.

I own both AppleTV and ROKU3. The channel store available with ROKU give's you such a wide variety to pick from where as Apple has no such feature that it makes it a no brainer which one to purchase. Between movie , TV and special interest channel's available I'll never run out of thing's to watch. Glad I purchased the ROKU 3. I highly recommend it. Ps: I also bought my son a ROKU3 as well.

This is the second Roku that I have owned. It is easy to set-up and use. The user interface is convenient and overall seems to have changed the way I watch TV. The Roku 3 has an added bonus through its usb port - it can play music, videos and pictures on a usb flash drive.
