Love my Roku

Love my Roku. I was able to set it up in just a few minutes and it was ready to enjoy. So many of my favorite programs come on late at night. I am an early to bed, early to rise person and now I am able to watch those favorites the next day on Roku. Great invention!

Entertainment in a different way but you decide

Have had Roku over 2 years. The 3 is by far the fastest and very user friendly. Only need internet and digital antenna so no need for satellite or cable. This is the best way to view entertainment ever. The web is your dvr, think outside the box.

So easy to install with an amazing amount of channels to choose from. Being cable-free is wonderful. Would recommend this product to anyone tired of cable/satellite costs and customer service.

Everything I wanted

I did a good bit of research and actually picked the competition (WD) instead of the Roku3 only to realize that all the features I liked on the WD were buggy. Not to mention everything had an incredible lag. I returned my purchase and brought home my second choice, Roku 3. Shortly after setting it up, I realized that although it didnt have some of the features I wanted, I COULD GET THEM THROUGH THE CHANNELS! I completely overlooked what was offered through the channels. My Roku 3 is super responsive and has all the features plus more. The remote even acts like a "wii" controller in some of the games offered up in the channels. Overall I couldnt be any more satisfied with my Roku purchase.

Everything I Wanted

Roku 3 is perfect and all I could ask for in a streaming media player. Not only does it feature Netflix, HBO Go and Spotify, but there is even an app to play movies/music from a thumb drive. I even bought one as a gift to my girlfriend.

Much Faster But...

I enjoy the much faster speed of the new Roku 3. Menus can always be improved, so there is that niggle, however we had problems with the unit over-heating when placed on a flat surface. The unit would simply lock up and have to be unplugged and restarted. After we set it up on a little pedestal most of that went away. regularly (almost daily?), the unit will still seem to drop the signal for no apparent reason, which requires going back to the main menu and restarting the app (usually NetFlix) to carry on. Overall though, it is much improved over the last generation.

I bought this on the recommendation of a friend who owns the older model. He gave me some tutorial for use. Our family is very pleased with this product.
