Roku 3 is fantastic

We have a Roku 2 in our bedroom, and get the Roku 3 for the main TV, primarily to use the headphone feature, since one of us stays up later than the other. It works very well and we are extremely happy with it. The only thing I didn't appreciate, is the 3 has HDMI connections only, and our TV didn't have HDMI inputs. We had to get another set to use the Roku 3.

Too Clever Too Clumsy

I like the old close to original version better. Why in the world would I want a "Kids" choice when I click on Netflix? I am having to re-learn how to navigate around just to see what's available. Someone got too clever and now Roku is tripping on it's own shoe laces. You might research Apple TV or something else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The roku 3 is the best purchase I have evwr made. It has all my needs all in one. By far there is nothing better than the roku 3.

I bought this about 2 months ago and I have not been disappointed. The channel selection is awesome and video quality. The speed is also great.

A Product That Delivers

I purchased this 6 months ago. And finally, I product that works as advertised.
Plugged it in. Followed instructions and it instantly worked. What more can I say.
I wish it had a direct web search feature but other than that, it's great!

Great little media gadget

This is a really cool gadget for enjoying many movies and TV shows. One of my favorite features is that you can stop a show/movie anytime for any reason and next time you open Roku it remembers exactly where you left off.
Mine has already more than paid for itself in my savings from quitting the cable (I now have Netflix and Hulu plus) company. I also got a digital antennae and get my news for free as well.

Solid box, as long as you don't push boundaries

I've been thoroughly satisfied with the speed of the Roku 3 over the Roku 2, even with the latest firmware. It boots MUCH faster and handles media well. The only issue I ran into, and it never went away, was when trying to use a microSD card to boost storage and performance - CONSTANT REBOOTS. Once the card was removed, no problems.
Never got a solid answer to that problem like the card was too slow, too large/small, etc... that may have been causing the issue. Either way, I stopped using the card in the meantime and I've had no issues.

Great product. Very useful feature is subtitle support. We watch a lot of the BBC shows & them Brits often speak funny English!
