Not so Cool

I bought this because of the ear phones to listen privately. The ear phone will wear out the battery if you leave it connected to the remote. After using it the first night I didn't know you needed to unplug the the ear phones and the new batteries were dead the next night. When I say Not so cool, I mean the box stays on and gets hot and it makes the top of the box sink down. I don't know why it can't turn off like the last box I have. I have 3 Roku's. One of the first best and 2 of the better small ones. They really need to put rechargeable batteries in the remote. I have a wireless headphones that have rechargeable batteries that are made by RCA. I am using it and not the Roku headphone. The batteries in the remote is lasting longer now. It's not that much better than the first X3 I got.
The batteries having to be changed 3 time in a week can get expensive. Faulty design. Another reason I bought this is because my first Roku would not pick up PBS channel.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overheats and freezes up.
Need a switch off device because the unit stays on with a screen safer, stays warm and uses power without being used.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First, last ROKU product

My wife suggested I purchase this for my apartment. It seemed like a good idea, but after the first week of coolness wore off I'm less than enthusiastic. Shows stop at random times, repetitive commercials are annoying, too many movie pages. Hulu is about the only positive. Use once a week. Definitely wouldn't suggest.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this Roku 3! Its so easy to use even my 3 year old son knows how to use it..wow amazing!

Great Apps!

We bought the Roku 3 because of the App for KCM which is the church that we attend out of state. However, we were amazed at all the Christian apps that it has. Everything we like to watch including Netflix is there. On our other internet device we had to surf the net to find the Christian shows we watch and then because we did not have apps for them we kept getting knocked off the site. I do have one complaint however on Roku Netflix automatically starts the next show in a series so you have to sit and wait for it to load and then stop it or it continues after you leave and uses up your monthly internet service time. This also happens on KCM which is HD. You have to shut down the show manually. On our other device it automatically stops when you turn off the device. Roku cannot be turned off it has to be unplugged.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A big improvement over the Roku 2

Works great on all apps I am using including Netflix which kept resetting on my Roku 2. The problem is gone with the 3, and I have the new AUTO interface with Netflix that was not on the model Also the speed to load content is much faster.
