Not to bit the main competitor

I bought this 6 months ago because I wanted to see how it works comparing with the Apple TV but setting wasn't that easy as Apple TV and Airplay Feature is not easy to use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great alternate to cable/satellite. Lots of variety and always accessible so long as internet access is available. Would like to see more of the cable/satellite channels added with their current programming.

Easy to use and great picture quality!

I bought this 4 months ago, and it has worked flawlessly the entire time. The picture quality is excellent, and the user interface is by far the best I have used. I have a Sony player that uses Netflix and Hulu, but that interface is awful compared to the Roku! I find myself using the Roku more than I use my cable TV service.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have enjoyed every minute of my Roku. My only complaint is the format for Hulu Plus. I have to stand up in front of the TV to read each program/movie as they do not enlarge/highlight the choices as in Netflix. It has already paid for itself in cable savings.

Was Great at First, Now Freezes & Crashes

We have had it almost a year, and loved it. However, for some reason it has started freezing up on us. I've tried resetting it and making sure the firmware is updated, but nothing has worked. Disappointed at this point.

Excels at what is designed to do. No problems so far. Overwhelming amount of content to explore. It's easier to explore this content from a laptop or desktop, then add then channels on the Roku.
