What a Money saver, Cut the cable plum off. saving around 100 a month. Im on

Awesome (except for advertising on main page!!)

I love Roku. I cut the cord with this little box and saved a ton. I would give Roku 5 stars if it would take the advertising off the main window. A number of the ads are not appropriate for my childern (like the honor movie and others with sexual themes)

They just work and work great. I have recommended these to many many geezer type friends - sometimes it takes a bit of pressure but they all say the same thing. Why did I wait? Why did I put it off? Why didn't you tell me sooner?

Easy to use and powerful

I've had a ROKU player pretty much since they first came out. I no longer have any cable or satellite services at all. The ROKU streaming services are my total entertainment package with NetFlix, Amazon Streaming Video and Amazon Music Cloud I really have no need for additional services. The ROKU is an easy to use interface between your Internet provider and your TV. I now have the ROKU 3 in my living room and bedroom and use them both daily. I find it interesting though that although they are both on the same network, using the same services they each have their own "Welcome" screen with a different user interface. While this is not a problem, I thought it was an interesting point. I would recommend the ROKU environment to anyone that is wanting to either enhance their viewing experience or break the chains of Time Warner, Comcast and the other outrageous service charges for the same garbage they peddle.

Good upgrade

I bought this as an upgrade to one of the earlier Roku devices (XD?). I've been using this new model for 6 months now.
The OS and user interface are much more pleasing and easier to operate than the old system. Also the addition of VUDU channel and the built-in movie/tv rental channel also helps make the upgrade worthwhile.
The games are meh. That's not to say that the games are all bad or that the system plays poorly....I just don't think every device needs to play games. My toaster doesn't need to play angry birds either. It's OK.
