It's the industry's yard stick

Performance is phenomenal and the channel selection is unmatched in the industry. It is the primary source of content for my most-used TV, and has relegated the also-connected Chromecast to being used to stream webpages and little else. I can't think of anything negative about the Roku.

I love the Roku 3, it has great wifi speed and great HDMI picture. I love the greater variety of channels that the Roku 3 offers as well.

Im glad I went with the roku3 it has access to everything I use mainly netflix and HBOgo but my family has used it for PBS and more

Incredible device! You can bring more entertainment into your home with the ROKU
than anything else out there. It's a winner and a keeper - easy to setup, easy to use, and hundreds of channels to choose from - what's not to like....

Not what I expected.

I bought this Roku to have access to my Slingbox TV player. I was disappointed to find out that I had to use my smart phone, and only my smartphone, to control Slingplayer through the Roku box. So if we are watching TV via slingplayer at out vacation home and I want to go out I have to leave my cell phone at home so that my wife can continue to TV. It would be better if the remote included controls for Sling Player as other units do. Or at the very least allow the Roku box to be controlled by a tablet also.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't think it ever worked properly. Had an older Roku and decided to upgrade. Not a good move. Gave old one to a family member - they like it.

Problems Connecting to WiFi

I've had mine for about a year now. I also have Apple TV. I prefer the Apple TV more than the Roku 3. The Apple TV connects to WiFi a lot easier in the same room and location that I had the Roku 3 in. I like the options Apple TV provides more than the Roku 3.
