I wanted a streaming box and it was going to be between the Roku box and the Apple TV. I chose the Roku box because it had an Amazon Prime channel. I was not disappointed with my choice either. I have the Roku 1 because I was not too sure about the streaming and it was cheaper.
All and all, I love it.

Great for kids

I bought roku and put it in my kids room and they love it!!! Always on netflix and Hulu watching what they can't watch on regular tv cuz the shows they like can only be seen if you pay more to get all the extra channels on cable so def saves me money !!

Turns my old TV into a powerhouse!

My Roku was a gift from my sons. I have an incredibly ancient television that was built to last (obviously!) and I just cannot bring myself to buy another while the old one is still working. Roku to the rescue! I now have access to the latest streaming technology even though my equipment is outdated.

I've had roku for a few years now. I like it better than cable or satellite. I wish I could get hbo go and showtimeanytime without either and just use roku. I love it. Shickle!

It couldn't be easier to set up and use! The inexpensive alternative to cable or satellite and the future of TV!! Bought one and ended up buying one for each of my children and my mom! Highly recommend !!
