This is more of a wish list than a review. I started with the Roku 2XS and loved it so much I cut off my cable. I have added about 148 channels to it and but when I also bought the Roku 3, all of the channels didn't show up and the ones that did where in a different order from how I arranged them on my Roku 2. Since they both require a microSD card after adding a certain number of channels, it would be a nice feature on the future Roku 4, to be able to save all the personal channels and channel configuration to the SD card so it can be copied to the next Roku purchased. Also the 2gb limit on the microSD card is out of date, with the price of much larger capacities. Which brings me to another wish, since most smart phones already have content saved to a microSD card and not a USB stick, it would be much nicer to have the ability to use the smartphone's microSD card with all it's pictures, video and mp3 music for the Roku's purpose that I stated earlier. The USB stick now required for personal content is so ugly sticking out of the beautifully design of the new Roku's. I use the private PLEX channel now to send that content to my TV because I already backup my smartphone content to my PC. I'm just saying, it is a wish list, not really a negative for the Roku's. Hope to see some knock-out easy to use features on Roku 4.

Disappointed on lasted 9 months

I thought the Roku was the best option. After using it was someone disappointing in that the Roku need to be reset about every other day. I have the fastest internet connection that cable can provide and one of the best routers, but still loses connection and have to reestablish the connection far too many times.
The Roku is not working, so bought the Roku stick. With that I had to reset and lost all my channels. Setting tup he channels again was a pain.
I have Apple TV which is fantastic. Would not have the Roku excel that Apple TV does not offer Acorn TV.
If you are not interested in have Acorn TV (British) service and have Apple products Apple TV is the better choice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my Roku. It's so easy to use. I mainly use it for Netflix, Hulu, and amazon prime. But it has many other options as well.

Started out with Roko1 and exchanged it for a Roko3, why, more options. Work just like advertised. Never had any problems with this, other than forgetting password, my fault. Beats paying the Cable bill ever month, payed for itself many times over already in just one year.

In January I decided to do without cable tv in my new house. I get several over-the-air broadcast channels. And then there's ROKU. Practically all of my viewing now is via ROKU. Hassle free. I highly recommend it.

It's nice to watch TV in bed while my wife sleeps, and i don't disturb her! We own 2 roku and could not be happier with them!
