The Roku 3 is very easy to set up and pretty much programs itself from your Roku account. The only difficulty I found was removing sites from my account on the internet. Also it is very confusing adding sites , as you have to go to the internet and search( does not tell on the Roku site) to find if they charge or not. Added Hulu and was charged for it, even though Roku said no charge. Other sites say free , but then when you try to watch a show, they want to charge a monthly fee. Also, alot of the Youtube full episodes are being forcibly removed by copyright complaints from big business.
Another problem is the Remote the Roku3 is Wi-Fi, which is great for the Roku, but WILL NOT operate ANY other equipment. AND there are no Universal Remotes that will work the Roku3, so you will be stuck using 2 or more remotes.
The Roku Search works, but usually only shows where to go to pay for what you want to watch. It doesn't search the channels you have added.
Pros:
The Roku3 connects really fast, sets up, and updates pretty fast. Only down side , is when you add more sites, you have to manually update to get them to show up.
The remote comes with a earphone jack, which works great. You can connect earphones, amplified speakers, or other device without needing a cord to the tv or Roku box. So far, the batteries have held up, so I am guessing the drain is not to great.

I bought this a month ago to replace the apps that came on my Sony Blue Ray Player and to get more. The quality of the apps are better and the HD actually looks HD. The only drawback is that a lot of the "free" apps are in app purchase.

I really like the product. It comes easy to install. The apps can be a little cumbersome to establish. The biggest downside is that most of the apps require a TV subscription to utilize, so this limits the amount of free online content that there is. It is great for Netflix, Amazon, Pandora, and Youtube.

I've heard of ROKU before but never bothered checking into it. I clicked on a link one day out of curiosity, read it, and ordered. Set it up was real easy and we use it daily. My 6 year old Grandson navigates to use this. :) thumbs up to ROKU and for those teetering on the decision of purchasing a ROKU.... Just Do It!!!!! ENJOY!

We love the Roku 3. It was easy to install and is easy to use. The only thing that could be improved is the search function. Having to arrow over to every letter to spell out what you are searching for is a bit cumbersome. If the search functions as improved, I would give Roku 3 5 stars.

Needs TV off feature

Bought my Roku about a month ago and I like it a lot. Glad I could pair my phone to it as a remote and use the keyboard feature. I had a logitech revue but they stopped supporting it and I really wanted hulu. The only thing that I don't like is you can't control the TV volume or turn on and off the TV. Please add this Roku.
