I've had a Roku 3 for a little over a month. The dual core Cortex A9s make for a snappy device. In fact it has significantly more processing muscle than a 3rd gen Apple TV. The selection of channels is quite good and if you still have your cable TV the apps you can download add to the overall experience (HBO Go, Showtime Anytime, etc.) Even without a cable subscription personally what Netflix offers practically covers what I have always watched. The Roku 3 will load Netflix or any other channel for that matter fast, significantly faster than a PlayStation, Wii, or Xbox 360. It is always on in a very low power state so all you have to do when you want to watch TV is just turn the TV on and there it is. The experience with Roku is all about speed and variety. They have a wide selection of free and paid channels ranging from toddler age to literally elderly age. Plenty of tech channels, fitness channels, classic TV, westerns, action, drama, really any genre one can think of. If you want to cut the cable or satellite TV out, or just want to supplement your existing TV selection then I can't recommend the Roku 3 enough.
Recap: large variety of channels, speedy Broadcom dual core A9s @ 900mhz, Ethernet or WiFi, USB port, micro SD expansion, HDMI output only, good User interface, can also use the Android or IOS app to control the Roku or to search channels while watching TV. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

poor ventilation poor quality

bought the roku 3 initially but kept overheating and freezing up ever 30 to 45 mins so switched to the stick and does not have the features I went with the roku 3 for, waiting for better quality products

Easy and Access to Top Entertainment

This is a great product, easy and you have many viewing choices, including youtube channels and Fox News. What make this for me is the remote with headphones. I watch shows and broadcasts while I walk around the house, out to the patio etc,with amazing sound--great also for music. Worth every penny!

Newer unit was just as fuzzy as my older unit

I purchased the Roku unit thinking I would get 1080p. I'm still getting 720p and the picture isn't sharp and clear like it should be. My TV is 55" and less than a year old. I seem to get a cleaner picture from those channels that aren't HD. Don't understand why this hasn't helped.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Family loves the Roku. We bought it because our connection to Netfix using s Wii was getting intermittent. The Roku set up was simple and the improvement in connectivity and definition was immediate. Fantastic product for the price. We love th USB input.

Ran into problems right away accessing netflix...which is why we bought it. Did some research and apparently this is common. Wish we knew this going in; wouldn't have bought it.
