I bought the Roku 3 after a friend recommended it. We have enjoyed watching shows on Net flix and the Smithsonian channel. I'm sure there is still more we can do with the unit; haven't had time to investigate. For some reason I thought I would have access to anything on the internet like I do on my computer, but that is not the case. However, I love being able to watch "reruns" of Neil DeGrasse Tyson's Cosmos on our big HD TV.

I brought Roku 3 a month ago. It works great with many channels. handful of good free channels and remaining are junk or pay per view.
Periodically I get "Content not authorized" and only way to fix is to remove power to restart the unit. I wish there is easier way to restart unit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roku 3 romote is awful!

I bought a Roku 3 for my husband for Father's Day. We hate the remote on the Roku 3!!!. It is confusing and stupid! For example, if you are watching a movie on Netflix and no longer want to watch the movie, it is confusing which button to push on the romote. The quality of the picture on the tv seems a lot better using the Roku 3 compared to the other device we had to get Netflix. And, Netflix needs to get a lot more new movies also.

First, let me say that my Roku 3 was given to me for my birthday so price was not an issue (though it's priced rather fairly), and it made for a great surprise because I had been wanting one for quite a while.
I like to watch TV and/or listen to music while I cook and work around my house, and the Roku does this wonderfully. Netflix is my primary way to watch anything, so I wear it out of course. But having Pandora so easily accessible is a delight. And lastly, this version of Roku truly is lighting fast. It's quick to react, never pauses to load, and it looks great in HD.

Quick and Easy!

I had the roku 2 first until 11 months. I purchase of an upgrade 60'' HDTV. I re installed the Roku, but the power cord just shorted out. Talked to customer service about my situation and had it returned. One week later I had an upgrade Roku 3!!! This thing surpass all expectations! I want to thank you (Roku)! I can't wait to be the first to purchase the first Roku TV!
