I bought the "3" because Roku claims it is the fastest. I had tired of the slow performance of my bluray player. My Roku 3 works great with Netflix. Many of the other channels (WatchESPN, PBS) tend to buffer a lot during programs. It is great, however, to have access to these channels. Nowhere TV is a fantastic (private) channel that is also very fast and problem-free. I like the Roku app that allows your phone to serve as a remote. Another nice feature is the ability to plug headphones into the remote for private viewing. There is only one free game that you can play on it. My Roku updated its software after I had it about 2 weeks. Transitions and loading seems quicker after the update.

LOVE My Roku!!

I installed this in under 5 minutes and have enjoyed the ease of being able to watch programs on Netflix and Amazon Prime. One thing I will mention is that you must also buy an HDMI cable to connect the Roku to your TV. Once it's installed, you're good to go. This is a must have for TV watchers.
I rave about the Roku to my friends and have already "sold" at least three if them.

i bought this a month ago, never had any issues with roku 3. wish it had more channels "DYI" "cooking channel" HGTV, otherwise it is great.

We have opted to not have cable in our new home rt now and had considered purchasing the Apple TV box... I decided to do some research and found out about The roku 3 We waited for a few months and I finally decided to give it a shot cannot believe we didn't discover this earlier it was sooooooo easy to install. Is lightning fast , small in size and the ear buds that attach to the remote is a great feature as I am an insomniac and my fiancé must get up early in the mornings. I would love to have one for each tv at some point and am thinking of giving as Christmas gifts I am THAT sold the format is easy to navigate and I'm still amazed at the speed hands down I would recommend this product to everyone Best yet it comes from a small USA company and I support that!

I bought this a month or so to see the indian channel as they are becoming very expensive on twc. It is very convenient and not facing any problems.
