Best thing since the TV

After researching the many streaming devices out there, I kept coming back time and again to the Roku site. These units promised almost unlimited viewing options and ease of use. Let me tell you they exceeded my expectations in all areas, the channels available are excellent, and you like exploring new viewing options what better way then with a Roku unit. I have so many viewing choices available to me that I actually turned off my cable service and use only Roku as my main source of entertainment. If they could only add local programming I would take down the over the air antenna (for local channels) and use the Roku for everything. I've enjoyed the device so much that we now have three units the latest being the Roku stick. Quick easy setup and no more cable bills Great product!

This dose everything i can imagine anyone needs.

The only downside i can think of it that Netflix is not available in all countries...
But with some DNS trickery and a US account you can install it and it will work! It will even show the content for your country you live in(i really dont see any reason for this restriction since it works perfectly).

The Roku is awesome. I switched over from using my PS3 for a DLNA player to a combination of Roku and PLEX media server and have loved the change. The interface is great and it streams without any problems. There are still some kinks in the Roku that I hope can be resolved. I am having trouble with the remote remaining connected to the Roku however the android remote app makes this a non issue for the most part. I also had an issue with trying to use the Roku on an older TV. Apparently the HDMI port in my older TV is not functioning properly so I get an unauthorized content error whenever I try to stream something. I have not had any problems with any other device so this is something to watch out for if you plan to use it on an older TV.

I just bought a Roku 3 and started to use it and quickly found out to my surprise that I would need to purchase almost all I wanted to watch such as 24 and many movies, NCIS... I also went to WatchESPN and quickly found out I needed a TV provider, the very reason I wanted to use Roku was to get away from the high costs of cable/Dish/etc. Bummer, I am taking it back!
Dissapointed.

I purchased a Roku#2 and was happy with the unit. I then purchased a Roku#3, yes I have 2 units, and have been so happy with each one (#3 unit is hand down a large step up from the #2). If you have only enough money to purchase one unit, buy Roku#3, best for the price.

Bought the roku HD about a year ago.Didn't think we would use it that much but it kept getting better with it's features.We have amazon prime so that makes it nice for streaming movies.You tube is a nice feature too as we can watch a lot of concerts and what ever is available on youtube. Very satisfied with the ease of use and aside from a problem getting on the internet when I changed (which I got straightened out with roku support)it's been very easy to use.would recommend it to anyone thinking about getting rid of their satellite or cable service.
