bought roku xs last year and fell in love. wanted one for analog tv in bedroom so got roku3 to replace xs on hdtv and moved xs to bedroom tv. i use antenna to get my tv and now, with huluplus, i can see programs i want when i want.

Worse not better!

I bought the Roku 3 because I loved my Roku 2 XS so much. I thought it would be nice to have one in more than one room. The only good thing about the Roku 3 is the earplugs, that's it! I don't like that it can only be used with HDMI and it constantly refuses to play and instead shows a message on the screen saying HDCP UNAUTHORIZED CONTENT DISABLED, which I then have to unplug it, wait a minute, and then plug it in again. Very very irritating! Plus it cost more, and then don't you know they came out with "The Stick" which cost less than the Roku 3! I would happily swop my Roku 3 for another Roku 2 XS any day of the week.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got rid of Satellite for this

Best decision ever!! I had Satellite for over 8 years. Got Roku 3 for my living room & the new streaming stick for my 3 year old daughter's room. I love Roku!! I have saved so much money.

Love the Roku!

Did away with all but basic cable TV and got a Roku! Love picking channels I want. Get to watch a lot of TV shows like Castle, Bones, Chicago Fire! Love having seasons of old favorites like JAG! No regrets leaving the hefty cable bill behind.

I am loving it.. find I am using it more than Satalite.. if not for my mom I would get rid of satalite! I bought the HDMI stick for my dad for fathers day and he uses it almost every day.. he is liking it better than his Chromcast and easier to use!!

after removing power 15 seconds and restore color is ok for a couple days....warranty is 90 days....not good enough
