Roku 3 - Easy To Use

Had ROKU 2 since Christmas until Lightening took it out... Upgraded to 3 and really like the audio input on the Remote. Excellent sound for times I don't want to intrude. Menu improvements make using the device even easier, as well. I dropped my satellite subscription and just use this now. Very happy!
Pros: Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Simple Set-up
Cons: Only Hdmi Connections

Best Streaming Device Available

I have multiple streaming devices at home including a Roku XDS, Logitech Revue,and Sony Blue Ray Reciever with Streaming built in and both of my Rokus are far and away the best of all of the but the Roku3 is incredible. The dual band capabilities blew me away. Netflix loaded up lightning fast with no buffering issues. The audio is improved by adding subtitles, and the headphone jack is great for late night use. Simple interphase is so easy to use that I would recommend it for any elderly or non tech savy people. Just remember to have a dual band router to appreciate just how fast the Roku3 really is. The main reason I purchased this unit was because the Sony receiver was complicated and constantly buffered and dropped the signal claiming my network was down so I disabled it and put my Roku3 next to it with no such issues. It's the best value out there. Don't be fooled by cheaper priced streaming devices.

Great product, but gets very hot!

I have had problems with the unit getting very hot. I looked this up on the internet, and decided to put it on it's side, instead of the normal position, and this seemes to help. It does not get as hot as before. When this gets very hot, the programs hang, and I have had to unplug and re-plug in the device. This is a great streaming unit, but I am worried about the heat issues. I have had the previous Roku units and never had a problem with how hot the unit got.

Been using Roku for a few months now. I use it for Pandora, Hulu, and Amazon Instant. All of the above are very easy to setup and use. The video quality is also very good.
