just got this for myself and my granddaughter and cancelled my direct tv. she balked at every step--we have had it two days now--and she keeps running out saying--"its got his--its got that!!" she is thrilled!! I added Netflix and HulaPlus for less than $20 a month--big difference from $120 and so many more choices!! We are already loving it, and it is only two days up and running!! GREAT INVESTMENT!

I have found a few disruptions with my streaming stick. It worked great out of the box. Customer service was also good. I would definitely recommend, however, I do value Roku if it's good qualities are also durable. A good step away from the monopolistic cable companies.

Dissappointed

Bought mine few weeks ago. Was happy but then problems. Presently having stops, reloads and continues with non-Netflix selections. Back button does not reliably go back to the last screen. Options button does nothing. Would really like some sort of a manual. Discovered Netflix captions by accident. I'm not a computer nerd and need more informational support I think.

Disappointing so far

Device was not properly set up with software to begin. Took two hours of fiddling and chat with tech to get it working. Remote control is overly complicated and two hours of headphone use kills a set of batteries. Device doesn't seem to sleep or shut down after period of inactivity.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Reliable

I guess I didn't need a Roku 3 I wired it via Ethernet cable directly to my t.v. The picture is excellent. No more feeling Ripped Off by Directv. It feels like the old days when I had a C-Band dish but even better.

While Im not computer savey, my only concern was the roku 3 needs to be on its own bandwidth channel, separate from my other wireless devices. Overall I give it a good rating, I would recommend.
