transition from regular tv to Roku menu slow; application requires knowledge of technologiy; old habits are hard to break, new ones hard to develop; I'm challenged during this initial period of use but will keep trying.

Came free with cable. NOT WORTH EVEN PLUGGING IN. NOT WORKING MOST OF THE TIME... AND WHEN IT DOES.....IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

It was given to me by a friend as a gif cuz he has it and enjoy it and for me without any sat/cable tv was and still very surprise about the quality of most HD channels I recommend it the most.

I purchased my Roku in December 1913 after I had installed a new HD antenna for my television viewing. It is the best thing since "sliced bread" in my opinion. I watch what I want when I want.

Bought about a month ago -- ditched cable TV due to cost and the fact I didn't look at most channels. Have found all I need through ROKU and thoroughly enjoy the ease of use.

I was looking at CNET reviews on a competing product and I then watched a review of the Roku 3 and it blew my mind. It is super fast, great interface, easy to use and was very affordable on my tight budget. The only two complaints I have are that I wish that it had its own independent sound control even thoe you can control it with the headphones plugged in. My other complaint is that I work of the cable company in my area and a lot of the channel I get are already free through my courtesy account. But those two complaint I give are really knit picking an already great product.

Better than I expected

I had heard from friends and other reviews how handy and fast the roku3 is.
Having experienced it for a couple months now, I'd say that the reviews did not really tell how good this device is. It is as easy to use as any device or remote control I've ever used. It responds to button clicks immediately and it feels good. The buttons are in different places with different shapes so I don't have to look at them to operate it. Since it's RF, I keep the ROKU out of sight - one less device cluttering up the stand. The headphone jack on the remote is pure genius.
