This little box is outstanding. Easy to use, a great money saver! We use it almost everyday. Much much cheaper than dish or cable.

I have an Apple TV and a Roku 3. Both are nice, but I would probably by a Roku 3 over the Apple TV.

Exceptionally fast!

I watch a lot of Netflix, and was using a Blu-ray player to stream content. When it began acting up I researched my options and found Roku. I chose Roku 3 for the added speed, because I only needed HDMI to connect to my home theater system. I absolutely love Roku, and wish I had bought it a couple of years ago! Netflix loads very quickly, and there are a LOT of other content channels including movie rentals. A very nice selection of apps that should appeal to most everyone.
A friend of mine was looking for a Blu-ray player to access Netflix and I quickly steered him toward Roku. He is equally pleased and thanked me for the advice!

I bought the Roku3 to replace my AppleTV since I use Plex extensively, and it wasn't able to do it natively & the Plex app on the SmartTV is not great. Plex works like a dream on the Roku3, and we also have been enjoying Pandora and some games. My 8 year old likes it a lot!

Roku Experience

Bought Samsung TV with Smart Hub. TV internet connection was tenuous, acquisition of Netflix and Amazon was unreliable. Spent much time with Samsung support without positive results. Connected Roku to TV. Now video streaming works the way Smart Hub is supposed to--but does not.

Great Alternative to cable

Until recently, we've been using the Wii to access Hulu and Netflix. Don't have the patience for cable anymore, and the thought of picking and choosing my channels seemed pretty good. We got the Roku 3, and the set up was pretty straight forward. I've heard about other channels being online, but haven't had the time to search for them, yet. I've also read about subscriptions to the various channels, but, truth be told, there's enough variety on the Roku that that hasn't been an issue, either. All told, we're very happy with the Roku, and just had a friend buy one after watching ours.

Best new Tech I use!

It took almost a year for a friend to talk me into getting a Roku setup, all this time I'm paying around $90 a month for satellite. Best move I ever made!! No, or fewer commercials....watch a whole series or season one right after another. I love it!!!
