Better than Cable

Love, Love, Love my Roku 3! Bought it mostly to try Hulu, which is the best. I catch up on all my evening tv sitcoms whenever I want with NO COMMERCIALS, just 3 small short ads where a commercial would normally be. We are on Hulu almost around the clock so paying the extra $7.99 a month for Hulu is well worth it. Hulu has so much to offer. We have cable, but choose to watch tv programs from our Hulu through Roku. My daughter loves all the kid cartoons. She can watch back to back episodes with continual streaming into the next one through an entire season of whatever she is watching. We like a lot of the channels that are free. Installation was so easy.

Time to cancel direct tv

Finally a way to get away from the monstrous cable bills. This handy little black box is well worth the investment if you have internet in your home. And it sails above chromecast and other boxes.

A device that doesn't make claims it can't handle. My wife is not upset off anymore trying to watch Hulu. That ought to be enough of a positive review for anyone...

Easy to use

We love the feature unavailable on rented DVDs. The movie NEVER skips!!! So far, however, we are unable to find some of the old movies that we enjoy. We mainly use Amazon Prime.

love it for streaming Netflix

My goal in purchasing a Roku 3 was to eliminate paying for cable. When I received it I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to set up. Even after researching it I still wasn't sure exactly how it worked and what I could get on it. After using it for a while I have to say I am satisfied and would buy another one or upgrade. I have not gotten any use from any of the " free channels". Most of them are not really free. The one movie channel I did try had older movies which was okay but had commercials! That is what I am trying to get rid of. I have watched shows on PBS but am disappointed that there is no close captioning for this channel. And I don't understand the point of having these teasers which only show the first few minutes of featured shows. Maybe I am missing something? I have yet to buy any movies to watch as not sure about having it go directly on my card. I also have not signed up for Hulu or cancelled my cable. The one cable channel I do watch a lot is TLC and it is not available on Roku as far as I can tell. The real test will come in August when college football starts. If I do not have access to all the teams I watch I will have to go with cable for the season. I absolutely love it for watching netflix and honestly I spend more time now watching netflix than I did cable because there really isn't that much on cable I care to watch.

Owned my Roku player for a few months and have been pleased despite having some trouble with playing the Blaze. Have had to uninstalll & reinstall the APP to return to stable use once

Bought the Roku when Wii stopped working. Glad I did!
