Opening a lot of possibilities

Purchased this one month ago and am still learning all the possibilities it offers. So far, seems fairly user friendly. Watching second season of House of Cards right now. Fills in nicely on those nights when there is absolutely nothing of interest on regular TV.

Nice but I have one question

The unit is fast, It streams well and has nice features. The remote is neat and the headphone plug is great........But why in the world would it have a fancy remote for games instead of having a slide down qwerty keyboard for searches? I care more about searches instead of games and nobody puts a slide board on the remotes.

No More Cable! Watch what I want When I want!

Easy to set up...exciting channels and new channels everyday are added. First words...why did I even have cable? Fantastic.. and thinking about making my own channel.. what a great Idea..it puts all the movies, entertainment, information, education, and creativity, all right there for you. I even got my mom to ditch cable and she bought one! Love it!

Really enjoying the Roku. No shortage of stuff to watch, though I think my kids are getting more enjoyment than me! If only they could work a deal with HBO, we'd be set for life!

Works well but extremely limited content

Bought the roku so that i didn't have to pay for cable tv. Turns out a lot of the channels (history, syfy, disney, and more) require you to be a cable/satelite customer. so there are really only about 1 or 2 channels worth watching. seems like i can watch more tv on my ipad than the roku.

I bought ROKU after a friend recommended it. I couldn't be happier. I am able to choose the program i want to watch and when it is convenient for me. It has all the family friendly kids program that I desire. I have recommended it to my friends and family and they are all gearing up to purchase it. Lastly, it is certainly more cost effective than cable.

We like! Three throughout house. Only trouble was setting up additional units. Your FAQ could have mentioned to complete instillation of 2nd & 3rd units, I needed to select one additional channel. (This is, you might admit, a bit silly and not intuitive)

Bought this to access primarily Dishworld, but have been also using it for Netflix and Youtube. The interface is beautiful and much more functional than Apple TV's. I only access Apple TV now because I bought a season on iTunes, but once the season is over, I'll permanently switch all my streaming to Roku.
