Roku 3 delivers as advertised. Would prefer an OFF ON switch to conserve energy. HD clarity is good. Pandora version is outstanding. Picks up signal well from my router located 2 rooms away. Compact and attractive.

Was tempted to go with Apple TV since I have quit a bit of Apple devices, but I really like my Roku 3. The quality is superb and I'm extremely pleased with the quality. Wish I would have made the purchase earlier. Embedded streaming capabilities on TV and DVD is no match for Roku 3. Super easy to setup and ton's of cool features I'm still discovering.

We have had our Roku 3 for about a month now. I love the available content and the unit plays well. The only problem is lack of Canadian access or usability. Some of the USA content should be allowing Canada in

The right way to view streaming video

I purchased a Roku 3 for my sister's family as a Christmas present. Her TV and DVD player were not capable of streaming video and she wanted to use Netflix. After she had owned the Roku 3 for about a month, I purchased one for myself per her recommendation. Prior to owning the Roku 3, I had been using a smart bluray player to view Netflix and Hulu. The reason I purchased the Roku 3 was because the streaming video performance was much better than I was able to obtain with my bluray player. With my bluray player I had some stuttering and freezing of video. I do not have that problem with the Roku3. Also, navigating menus with my bluray player was slow and tedious. Menu navigation with the Roku 3 is snappy. After I had the Roku 3 hooked up and running, I also found out that I had a much improved channel selection. Another plus to the Roku 3 is the remote control. Most of the remote controls that I own have dozens of buttons which are labeled in fine print. In order to operate them, I have to turn on the overhead light and get my reading glasses. The remote for the Roku 3 only has 11 buttons. The buttons are arranged in such a way and shaped so that I do not even need to be looking at the remote to use it, much less than bothering with the overhead light and the reading glasses. The only question I still have regarding the Roku 3 is durability. I have only owned it 3 moths and I have not had any problems so far. But even if I did, I probably would just buy another one as I would consider it worthwhile.

Saving money.

I'm retired and always looking for ways to save money. After I had the Roku 3 for a week I suspended my satellite TV for 7 months. I'm now thinking of cancelling it altogether. There is lots of great content and I like how you can pair You Tube to you big screen TV and watch the You Tube content you subscribed to on the big screen. My wife and I usually watch something on Netflix every night and it plays perfectly and never has to buffer. I checked with my internet provider and I have unlimited internet so no worries about a big internet bill from too much streaming. I don't think some content is available in Canada. I saw some video reviews on You Tube and I couldn't find things like NBC news. Maybe it's there and I just didn't see it. I'm not sure. I can always get my news on the computer so I'm not too concerned. Roku 3 works great and I would highly recommend it.
