Great Alternative to traditional TV

Had this about 3 weeks and love it. Biggest problem is remembering where to find shows to watch that I previously reviewed due to the large amount of content. This company seems to be very aggressive in adding new content.

Bought mine over a year ago after trying 2 different competitors products. Quite frankly they have a lot to learn from ROKU. Don't waste your time or money, just get a ROKU first. I love this little box, hopefully sometime soon, "regular" cable channels will become more available. You can find most shows on Amazon Prime, Hulu and Netflix but there are some you will either be a season behind or will have to find and watch on your pc.

I bought this to stream a certain site to a small group I host at my house. Roku is tiny and simple to use. Any site I have used works very well. I have recommended it to others.

we bought roku 3 so we could move our gaming system down to the basement now we have access to all our tv watching needs without occupying our playstation

Easy to use/navigate

Great option to or supplement to cable. I don't have cable and find plenty to be entertained with by the Roku's options. Having accounts for the various apps helps a lot, but is additional cost. Wish the search options were easier to enter information.

Scratched the surface

We are under contract with DirectTv until September and I purchased this to convince my wife that we can live without 886 worthless cable channels and the $120/month bill. She had her doubts but nearly 3 weeks of Netflix and other channels she's a believer. Easy set up and fun to explore. But Ive only scratched the surface of this device!

Very useful gear

We are now able to enjoy programs that our TV provider does not carry: e.g. Kingdom, Miss Marple. It's a relief not to have to endure tedious advertising. We hope that other programs will be added in the near future: e.g. Pie in the Sky, Hercule Poirot.

fast and easy to use

When I decided to buy this type of devise I read about comparisons between chromecast, Apple Tv and Roku. Roku 3 kept coming out on top. It has not disappointed me. It is fast and has a multitude of apps. I love it!
