Who needs a cable provider?

I have had the unit for about a month now. I love being able to streamline exactly what programs I want without channel surfing. I have a netflix sub and set up with the roku was easy.

Don't waste you money !!

I purchased this unit a month ago, however I did not do my homework on the 500 +channels that are avaliable . Most of the free ones are poor quality and old content and anything that is of interest you have to pay for...The audio players for MP3's are terrible and it will not play the formats that a devcice like the Westerd Digital player handles with ease.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy Setup Quickly Erased Technical Fears

I bought my Roku 3 about a month ago. The setup process was smooth and easy to understand. With no previous experience with video streaming I was concerned about viewing performance. Picture quality and sound are great.

Best way to eliminate cable bill

We do not have able TV nor are we close enough to get any TV "over the air" Roku is a wonderful and complete way to kick the cable guy to the curb.

We never regreted buying the Rocku 3. The only thing is, it works like my laptop and it uses a lot of bytes on my broadband and my cable carrier is charging me extra for exceeding my limit.

I bought this device mainly to stream my personal video collection from my Synology NAS with the Plax app and to stream movies from Netflix. The Roku 3 works great for those two applications.
