At first I thought $99 was a bit much, I but after having it a while I cancelled ATT Uverse TV part and only kept the internet, subscribed to Hulu Plus, NetFlix and Aereo TV (DVR in the cloud) and TV on the go anywhere! Total savings $160 total cost $79 and I can watch what I want to watch without and 100 info commerical channels! ;-) !!!!!

I cancelled cable TV account because I was fed up with paying $75/month for 250 channels I never watched... bought ROKU and am delighted with all that is available to me via Netflix and Amazon Prime.
ONLY DOWNSIDE: the battery life on the remote is dismal, especially when using the ear buds, which was one of the big selling points for me. I'm a senior citizen with a bit of a hearing loss, so the ear buds are important to me. But I'm using a pair of batteries a week - which is an added expense I didn't expect.
Hopefully ROKU will find a fix for this problem -

First time user of Roku. Bought the Roku 3 and love it. I use mine with the ethernet connection and do not have any connectivity, speed, or any other problems. Would recomend to anyone interested in purchasing one.

SIMPLE TO USE

I bought my ROKU to replace a blueray player because I wanted to be able to stream more content than was available via the bluray player (samsung). Am I ever glad that I did buy ROKU. Not only am I now able to stream more content from more sources, but ROKU is super easy to use. Just a few buttons on the remote to play, pause, navigate. SO EASY and responsive. You don't even have to point the remote to the ROKU device for it to work. The sensor built into the ROKU device captures the intent of the remote. I LOVE MY ROKU.

Love, love, love my Roku. I was blown away with the number of channels I could access. My main reason when buying it was to mirror my Kindel Fire, but I found so many more uses including sports channels. More than pleased with it. So easy to program.

Just what I was looking for

I purchased this product because I was tired of cable tv and the hundreds of channels that I would never watch.I wanted more targeted viewing for my money. I like that I can subscribe to channels that I want to see and nothing is forced on me for a chunk of money each month. I have had the ROKU for about 1.5 months now. Once I set it up my kids (ages 6 & 8) can use it on a daily basis with very little assistance and most times none at all. The free kids channels are great and Netflix has a wonderful setting that only allows kids to choose things appropriate for their age called "Kids Place". My kids like choosing their profile so that they can find the things they each like to watch. I am overall extremely please with my purchase and I have been telling everyone that I know about this product. I am like a walking commercial or something :-)
