Just what I was looking for

As the quality of normal programming became more "reality shows", weird cooking contests, judge shows and other tripe, I was looking for a method to watch other things on my TV. I had an RCA device but it was poor performing and the remote was almost useless. The ROKU 3 made my desires a reality.

I purchased this under the advice of my grown children. I am not an electronic or computer tech person so I was very nervous. No need for anyone to be nervous! This is so simple to set up and use even I could do it alone. I now use it more than any other tv channels and am starting to consider turning off my satellite service. LOVE IT

Lots of movies

I really enjoy the wide variety of movies. I especially like how the device locates more movies for you to watch that fit your category of interest. This feature has allowed me to watch movies that were new to me. And the movies were good movies.

Easy to install!

We bought this about 6 weeks ago and love it! It was so easy to install I was amazed. The software walked you through all the set up and it was easy. We low how it searches on all the apps when we want to search for a movie. We are glad we bought it. Now if we could just figure out how to get rid of our cable...

Equipment works fine, once I got a purchased router. Had to also have the router, I would still be fumbling in the dark. Thank god for your Tech support.

Beats Cable, hands down!

I went back & forth on whether or not to cancel cable/satellite and go with the Roku. And then my new cable bill showed up and it was $10 more than the previous month without any additional channels or features being added. I had enough; couldn't justify spending almost $100/month on something that I didn't use enough of. We signed up for Netflix and HuluPlus and bought the Roku. We love it! There are a lot of other things you can sign up for and use through the Roku but for now we are happy with the 2 we have. PROS: 1) Streams just like regular TV (can't tell the difference between Cable/satellite and the Roku). 2) It's the smallest piece of equipment ever, can't even tell it's there on my entertainment center. No more giant, clunky DVR and modem taking up 1/3rd of our entertainment center. 3) One time $100 purchase (we bought the Roku 3) and you're done. 4) The remote is small and easy to use. CONS: I only have one complaint about the Roku, everything makes it sound like it comes preloaded with all of these FREE channels when, in fact, a lot of them are subscription based channels. If you don't have at least a Netflix subscription, I wouldn't purchase the Roku
