Needs a page remote button on unit

Remotes are easily lost. Need to add a paging system to the roku to beep the remote to find it. I have a million ideas, this is just one of them;

Fixed my Netflix from locking up

My main reason for buying this was all my devices were locking up while watching Netflix. I have a 50/25 internet connection and run the devices straight to my router though my home network switch, not WiFi!!! There was no logical reason for Netflix locking up I had read that with Sony devices, changes in internet connection speed could cause issues. As all my devices (TV's, DVD players, PS3's) are Sony, this was my last ditch effort before giving up on Netflix. ALL PROBLEMS SOLVED!!! The interface is great, I love the remote control app for my Andriod phone, and the ability to choose the cheapest option for a PPV movie selection make it a great $100 spent. I plan on buying one for my Son-in-law who also experiences Netflix lock-up issues.

I have had roku's before my roommate had a roku 1, then later upgraded to a roku 2. When I moved later on I found a need for one so I picked up the roku 3. I use it predominantly for running netflix, plex, hulu, and pandora, and it works amazingly well. It has fantastic app functionality and allows me to make great use of my home server. It boots up quick and painlessly, has a good network connection either physical or wireless depending on where in the house I need it at the time. Could use a boost on its internal transcoder, I try to run everything from my server as direct stream but well some things have to be transcoded, either way it is a fantastic little machine.
Also the head set connection in the remote helps me out a lot in my current home.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great picture but far from overall low cost

I purchased a refurb Roku 3 from NewEgg. It seems to work fine. Easy to hook up. Batteries for remote were dead. No problem there. I also had to resync the remote. Again, no real problem. The pic is fabulous with HDMI. So far nothing I have watched had studdered, pixilated, froze, whatever. I have a 10X2 TWC RR pipe and I'musing the Roku over my wifi. So overall it seems to work great. BUT.....it sure seems like a LOT of the channels just have junk, old, old, old junk, or are subscription. Maybe my tastes in TV programs is not the norm. I do use the Roku with PlayOn and PlayLater. It integrates very well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had it less than a month. It's working well. I miss not being able to search for a specific film in Netflix...maybe I just don't know how.

We've had the Roku 3 now for about 2 months. It was the best 100 bucks I've spent. Tons of movies (M Go), games, informative channels, and best of all no more black outs from ESPN for college hoops. WiFi was easy to set up and streamed perfectly. Just recently I ran an ethernet cable and reset to wired just to be sure. Personally I would like to see a woodworking channel added. But thats just me. Overall we love it.

Well, I needed this Roku 3 to enable watching NETFLIX on my television screen. It's doing the job well, although I did need to get help in finalizing the set up. (At least for me, it wasn't as easy as the booklet suggested.
