Great product!
Headphones jack for remote is a nice feature. Seems as though battery for remote drains quickly if you leave your headphones plugged in after use. Highly recommend Roku 3.

Roku 3

I purchased the Roku 3 over other streaming devices and also the other Roku models because of the reviews that stated how much better the 3 was streaming. This product has worked perfectly with all content including HD.

Great Educational & Entertainment chanels

several yrs. ago I purchased a roku I. It allowed me to see my netflix account along with so many free chanels that I was able to drop my cable tv account and save over $40.00 per month. Every time the cable company called to request my coming back to their TV service I talked the rep. into checking on their own personal Roku. 2 or 3 mo. ago I upgraded to the roku III. I enjoy all my specific free chanels with access to their live streaming as well as the clairity ofpicture on my netflix. There are so many free chanels I can't even begin to watch them all. plus less or no commercials.Yeah.!!!!

Outstanding Alternative to Cable or Satellite!

We live in an area that cable refuses to come to and where satellite isn't a good option. I hesitantly purchased the Roku 3 not knowing whether this would be a good decision or not. After owning it a little over a month I am so glad that I did purchase it! Even with our local "high speed" internet, which isn't high speed at all, the Roku 3 loads in a snap. I have been laid up from having a major surgery so this has been convenient and a life-savior from complete boredom! I would recommend paying the extra to purchase the Roku 3 as opposed to the less expense, slower loading Roku's. I'm still learning about some of the channels but have easily been able to learn how to use it pretty quickly.

Exactly What I Expected

First and foremost I am coming from Google TV so my experience is through a bit of tint. The Roku 3 is a good device and very stable however the feature set is limited in my opinion. The reason I switched was hardware issues with GTV and the Roku gives me none of that. It also didn't come with a keyboard integrated in to the remote and the search features are less intuitive. Plex is the main app I use and I am disappointed with the interface on Roku but that's not Roku's fault. I was also quite upset to find out that Comcast won't authorize any of the channels I'd like to be able to watch and the Roku doesn't have passthrough and control for cable boxes like GTV so if I decide that it's important enough to watch these channels I'll end up with two three remotes or having to spring for a universal remote. All in all the Roku 3 does exactly what it claims to do but if your cable provider doesn't authorize channels your content is limited somewhat. For the everyday user this is a good stable addition to your home theater, for the power user it is lacking in some areas.

Far Superior to Competitors

After streaming with the WD Live box, my Wii, and my blue-ray player, I have found the Roku 3 to be the most advanced of all streaming video devices on the market. It's faster, offers a greater variety of channels, has fewer issues and is easier to troubleshoot. It's also smaller and the status light isn't so annoying it keeps you awake at night. And you don't have to turn it on and wait for it to boot up every time you want to use it, like a lot of its competitors. It stays ready and connected, just like normal TV.

Best Streamer Available

The Roku 3 is the best streamer by far that I've used. Extremely fast when loading content. Visually appealing interface. The Plex app makes streaming local content a breeze, assuming you have a Plex server running on your network. I've used Apple TV and WD TV Live devices but I prefer the Roku. Apple TV has a great interface but limited content options. The WD TV Live is great for local streaming but very slow to load content and the interface is rather plain. This is the one to get!
