Way cool!!! I had an AppleTV first but now I watch Roku3 exclusively. Roku3 has all the features that I can watch on AppleTV and is cheaper. I am a customer in Kentucky and not affiliated with either company.

I love this little device!

I have a 70" Vizio smart TV, PS3, and an Xbox 360. All three devices have the ability to stream from Netflix and my media server PC using either TVersity or Plex. Since I bought my Roku, I haven't even thought about using the other devices for anything other than game playing. I don't really need the ability to plug in headphones on the remote, but I tried it and was extremely pleased with the experience.
A few negatives (minor), when I first got it, the remote wasn't sync'd with the unit. It took me a few minutes to realize how I needed to sync it. Also, it apparently forgot my Netflix account login info last week and I had to reenter it. One last thing, I haven't been able to get it to recognize and play videos (MP4's) from the USB port.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Christmas presents ever!

My kids got me one each Christmas 2011 and I'm so glad they did! I have the LT and the XD and they both work incredibly well and there are so many channels to chose from. I ran into my first technical issue yesterday and the customer service rep who helped me was knowledgeable, fast, and friendly. Love!

I purchased a Roku 3 a little over a month ago and we love it!!! There were programs, I did not receive, from my television server and was told I could watch them with the Roku............... I can and do!
It is also great for our grandchildren to watch "age appropriate" cartoons continuously, without having to deal with changing the channels!!!

A great addition if you don't have a "smart" TV

The device is painfully simple to hook up. Plug an HDMI cable into your TV and the other end into the Roku, then plug in the Roku's power cord. Answer a few questions the device puts on your TV screen to get connected to the internet. Done. If you already have a smart TV connected to the internet that allows you to view online content through Netflix, Amazon, etc., this device isn't necessary. (Unless you want to watch British programs on Acorn. Acorn is available on Roku, but no app for smart TV's yet)

Since using my Roku device there is no need for cable service (which is ridiculously expensive). I am very pleased with everything this device allows the user to obtain. The only benefit for Apple TV is the option to play straight from your iphone, but the remote option quickly favors the Roku.
