Roku 3 has everything I need to enjoy streaming

I bought Roku 3 because its wireless remote control has a plug for earphones (included with Roku 3) and volume control buttons. With Roku 3, shows always stream smoothly to my TV. Also with Roku 3, everything I watch is now in high definition on my TV set. I have a HDTV but many shows I used to stream through my PC did not appear in high definition...and there were constant stops & starts in the "flow." I was surprised at how small the Roku device is...about the size of my palm.

Quick, powerful and easy

I bought a Roku 3 to use Plex - upgrading from an Apple TV2 that was running XBMC. I am thrilled with the box - Netflix, Amazon, Plex, Disney Junior - it has been getting more use than cable lately. In fact, if it weren't for sports and the account for Disney Junior, we would definitely cut the cable...
I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old. The system is so intuitive, they both use it with no problem after a 5 minute training. Really hoping a Disney Movies Anywhere channel comes out soon!

Very happy with ROKU. My only concern is it does not respond sometime when not watching or listening frequently. (i.e. turn TV off at night after watching, in the morning turn on TV and want to watch but ROKU does not respond.) This is an intermintent problem. Power has to be disconnected and reconnected after 15+ seconds and it has to go thru its wind up'. Advise: a power button should be added , maybe it needs frequent breaks since it stays on constantly.

My Roku

We love our Roku! We had been using our blue ray player to stream Netflex. It was pausing to reload very very often. So often that we were to the point of not using Netflex. Our son suggested Roku and we are so happy we bought one. No more problems with delays. Thanks Roku!

Easiest way to watch Netflix/Amazon/etc

I bought a Roku since I was tired of dealing with Playstation Network outages, and Apple TV / Google Chromecast didn't support Amazon Video. I mainly use Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, YouTube, and Crunchyroll, and they all work excellently. YouTube supports the Chromecast style control via a smartphone, and beyond that, every other app lets you use your smartphone as a touch keyboard. The Roku's "app store" is really, really lacking, but if you just want an affordable streaming device, it's absolutely worth it. The remote also feels really nice to hold.

I love the Roku 3 except for the way in which you have to type in entries to search.
As in you tube or netflix,it takes a while to scroll and it is not really explained how to manage it.

Works like a charm

I am using the Roku 3 since 5 month and can only praise the developers. The remote is minimalistic at first but offers all one would need. The only time I turned to Google was to find information about USB attached drives. The missing link was the Roku Media player since the installation requirement isn't obvious. Concluding I can only recommend the Roku 3 player for everybody looking for a wider variety of online media entertainment.

I read the reviews before purchasing and I was a little hesitant, some of the one star reviews were not so good in pertaining to customer service. I have not had to contact them yet so as of right now everything is great and I cant believe I waited so long to get one.
