Great, with a minor but consistent aggravation

The content is wonderful, and the setup was very easy.
The main complaint we have is that the remote loses contact with the machine on a regular basis---sometimes as often as once a day--which entails unplugging and re-plugging wires, powering down, cursing, etc. Also, the remote's headphones frequently stop working.
Online searching and contacting Roku tell me that both of these are known (and apparently un-fixable) issues, which is a problem for me: the product is so good otherwise, but these issues are a genuine pain in the neck. (We're on our second remote and the problems persist.)
I bought this for my husband to have something to do following major surgery, and when it works, it's been great, but the problems are ridiculous. He gets frustrated because he can't just get up and fix them, and I do because I wish I'd never seen the thing!
Come on, Roku, this should NOT be that hard to fix!

I have had my Roku 3 for about two months now and am enjoying it immensely. Accessing my channels is fast and the choices are so many. I love watching the old TV shows on Netflix and Hulu Plus. The Amazon Movie Channel is amazing. If you have been thinking about getting your own Roku 3, it will be a great investment.

Love Roku 3!

I purchased Roku 3 over a month ago. It was quick and easy to set up and go. It has changed the way I watch tv. Now all the tv shows and movies are on my schedule. It also allowed me to take a tv out of storage and use upstairs without having to pay a hook up and monthly fee! With this I can eliminate cable tv and hulu.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I received this a little over a month ago and love it! I live in a rural area in Alaska and could only watch netflix on my computer screen - but now it is convenient and easy to watch them on my big screen - looove it!

Best Streaming Product but still has some work

I really do enjoy using the Roku 3 over any other device so let me start of by telling you what I wish was different... For the last month or so I've seen a Downy UnStoppables every few minutes even after the commercials got my girlfriend to but the product :). So, I'd like to be able to enter the serial number and turn off ads for a day or two and then be given another ad...(if I must... its better than the same thing over and over again)... Second, the volume is wild. I wish there was a volume equalizer or some standard to keep me from having to grab the remote every few minutes. Lastly, content and organization. The Channels available are great but there still could be more. And on the other side of that coin even with the ones there are now I sometimes have trouble finding what I want. Maybe subfolders for my channels is a solution, a satellite guide like display, and shortcuts or a desktop mouse kind of interface. Basically, I can use my computer reach many more resources than I can on the stock Roku.
__________________________________________________________________That being said, I love the Roku! I've cancelled my cable service for it. The USB media player is awesome and the remote is the best stock remote I've ever had. The product is simple, elegantly entertaining, and powerful.
