Have had it about a month and works great for my wifes TV that did not have a built-in wirless router or smart TV.

Great Technology, Needs more content

I've had the Roku 3 for about a month and have enjoyed it tremendously. It connects well, is easy to use and the extra features like headphone jacks and SD card slot are great. The only drawback is the limited amount of free content. Roku is best used to watch your paid apps like Netflix and HuluPlus.

Absolutely Great!

I have this setup in our bedroom. I was using a Blue Ray with my Netflix. I probably can't say the brand but it rhymes with Tony. The streaming was pathetic. My Roku has eliminated that problem. It's almost instantaneous with the dual receiver and all the other streaming sites are just fantastic. This thing is well worth every penny. In fact I'm considering doing away with my paid TV. Buy it! You'll love it! Setup is breeze with an HDMI cable. I was up and running in less than 15 minutes. I also have more room for my other equipment because of the small footprint. It's only about 4X4 inches. I want to buy another for my den.

Love streaming on demand. My only complaint is that some channels like WatchESPN and Disney you have to enter proof of your cable provided to activate them (which doesn't make sense for those cutting the cord), But they don't even offer authorization from the cable providers in my area for activation (?!?) They only show a few providers from the largest market areas (the coasts). But, this is an issue with those certain channels themselves and not Roku. The Roku is great and the best streaming device out there

More Channels/Apps and faster response than Apple TV...no brainer! Plus you can view your own media easily!

Get this and "CUT THE CORD"

Arrived in the mail yesterday. Had a slight bit of difficulty. Went to support chat on Roku website. Turns out the error was mine. I discovered that the password for my router had one capital letter. Reentered correctly and it immediately resolved the problem. I can't say enough about Roku support. All these other companies that pride themselves on customer care should take notice. Roku surpasses all of them-period.
Where I live, I can't get more than 1.5 mbps. Roku 3 works excellent. No problems. I will be contacting my dish provider soon to "cut the cord". This purchase and the outstanding support offered makes this one of the best purchases I've made in a long while. Don't even think about it ---- just buy this Roku 3. I guarantee you will not regret it.

Bye-bye satellite tv; hello Roku

We were not satisfied with the programming or the cost of our satellite tv service. We bought the Roku 3 and changed our satTV contract to the basic plan. A week later, we cancelled it completely. The Roku is that good. the image is great, and for a fraction of what we paid for satTV, we have a much better choice of programs to view.

Fun for the kids

I bought this for myself to stream Netflix and Hulu Plus, but my kids love the games and all the channels so much they have taken it over. The headphones on the remote are a great bonus.
