Very easy to hook up, setup and use. It is faster than the Wii. Lots of channels to pick from.

We purchased our Roku-3 about a month ago and it's been a great purchase! I wish I had learned about Roku earlier! It delivers the service that it promises and is a great addition to our television viewing.

No disappointments

Very happy with our Roku 3, no disappointments. Easy to hook up, easy to use once hooked up, excellent video quality. Nice and small and easy to fit under the TV.
We haven't explored too much of the alternative content available; so far we are mostly using it for Netflix.

We cutting the cord! This is letting us move closer. We have reduced are satellite cost! The more we learn the better it gets! If major broadcaster would stream it would be perfect!

Roku 3: A Great Way to Stream

I've bought two Roku 3s in the last month. I put one of them in my dedicated home theater and liked it so much that I decided to get another for a bedroom system.
Two things make the Roku 3 such a great streaming device. One, it's fast - from 5-10 times faster than a Blu-ray player I have, and at least twice as fast as another streaming media player that I own. Second, it's very well organized and easy to navigate. I can get to the content I want easily.
There are two weaknesses, one minor and one more serious. The remote doesn't place the select button in the middle of the navigation buttons, which just about everything else I own does. I typically use a Harmony remote, but on those occasions when I use the Roku remote, it's an annoying adjustment to have to make. The second issue is more serious. I'm an avid 3D fan, but even though some services like Vudu and Netflix have 3D movies to rent, those titles aren't available on a Roku 3. It's irritating that Roku has made that decision. As with 2D, I like having the ability to rent a 3D title before committing to purchase it. Roku takes that option away on their Roku 3 device.

After Comcast added new HD fees last month, increasing our cable bill by over $42/mo., my husband and I concluded that "enough is enough." We researched all the options available, and decided that the Roku 3 would provide the most entertainment and news options to us for the lowest cost. Installation was foolproof, and we were amazed at the picture quality and speed of the streaming video. Within 24 hours, we had purchased a second Roku 3, cancelled our Comcast TV and returned their clunky equipment to them. We now enjoy a much wider variety of entertainment options, watch TV when we want without commercials and cut program scenes, and watch streaming local newscasts on the computer. Our only regret was not doing this sooner: the Roku 3 is a great product!!
