Great product for what we want.

We wanted to get away from the ever rising bill with Dish. We don't watch any reality TV and only a few series .For what we want this product is perfect.

I live in a middle of nowhere. There is no cable service in this area and the satellite is too expensive so I didn't have a TV access for about 5 years since I moved here and I've been missing all these good TV shows. I've heard about Roku before but I was not sure what it was. But when I went back home and visited my friend, she showed me how it worked and told me how she loved her Roku (even though she has a full cable service). After coming back, I signed up for a free Netlix streaming trial. I loved it but hated the part I had to use my laptop for hours and hours every night so I decided to buy Roku 3. That was the best decision I've made! I can't compare with anything else because this is my first Roku/media player but just even streaming my Netflix or listening music from Pandora, it's much faster than using my laptop (which is brand new). And even though Roku uses the same internet connection as my laptop, I rarely get any interruptions once the program/show/movie starts. Quite frankly, I have no idea why that is, especially both my laptop and Roku use the same internet connection. Someone like me who don't have any other TV accesses or decent radio stations, there are plenty of free "channels" and Netflix is the only paid channel I have. And if I finish watching everything on Netflix, I'll just cancel that and move on to like Amazon or Hulu Plus so I will still have only one paid channel. The only exception is paying for brand new episodes of The Walking Dead (my friends can't just keep quiet about it). But that's not even through a paid channel, I'm just paying $1.99 per episode so I can watch the one that was aired like 2-3 days ago. I can listen to my hometown radio stations using my TV set (better sounds) and watch Youtube videos on a big screen is also a plus for me. I am very happy with my Roku and I'll probably keep using this instead of getting a cable service even when I go back to LA. Oh I almost forget, I was worried if I could hook it up by myself but boy, that couldn't even simpler than that. Even my grandma can do it as long as long as someone can let her know what is the password to the wireless network. A+++!

Easy to program and use

The ROCU is easy to use and I have already installed Netflix, Amazon Prime and MGo movies. The only thing I would suggest is ensuring the movies have CC. We had to go round and round with MGo Movies before it would work on their site.

I was using a full blown PC sitting next to my TV in order to watch Hulu Plus and Netflix. I've been able to stream most of my shows without the need of a computer hooked to the TV. Excellent product and I highly recommend it.

I bought this roku 3 weeks ago and needed to go back to the store because the first one had problem. Then, since I start using the new one, is amazing.

I bought this product on a recommendation from a few friends. It is better than I expected. I event bought a competitor product to see how it compared to my Roku 3 and it was not even a fair fight, because the other product was not (in my opinion) lousy. I took the other product back and my money back tonight. I will get another Roku 3 tomorrow.

Love this Roku.
More channels than I thought would ever be available. I no longer need cable...Saves me about 100 a month just with one box. I would like to see them add ABC, CBS, NBC etc so that I can get my local (network ) stations without an antenna.
