I was expecting so much more content. Charging 1.99$ per show and more just wasn't what I was prepared for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We received our Roku as a gift, and we are enjoying it very much. We live in rural Colorado and have poor cel phone signals and slow DSL internet. However, we have had no problems streaming movies via Netflix. The picture quality is great and they stream without interruption. When watching some of the other channels, though, we have found that there are loading issues and a program might be interrupted a dozen times before it's completed. I kind of doubt that this is a Roku issue, but a slow internet issue, but if that's the case, why would movies work so well? Overall, we are happy and very glad to have our Roku.

Excellent Product

I finally gave Roku a try. I had bought one years back but I don't even remember why I returned it. I ordered it again not only did I just got one but two of them. It is so much better to see movies on Netflixs and Amazon with the Roku then with a dvd player or other equipment. I specially like this model that gives you the option of using your ear plugs or head phone if you choose to. Plan to order my third one.

Love my Roku's

I loved the first "basic" model so much I have since bought a total of 3 Roku's one for each tv. so basic but so perfect. also if you have any problems the tech support has been wonderful. usually it's a wifi issue not the Roku

I bought a Roku3 five weeks ago. It is absolutely amazing. The unit is very small and visually appealing. I will be purchasing another in the future but for now I move it occasionally. This is simple with the HDMI connection and simple power connection. I love the wifi remote and the optional smartphone app. Because of the size, weight, and WIFI remote, I can velcro it to the back of my television and it disappears. The setup is simple and very intuitive. I only use it to view netflix so I cannot comment on any of the other content, but I have a lower speed (1.5M) DSL connection and never experience any delays or lags. It only takes a few seconds from the time that I select a show to the time that it is playing on my television. I am impressed with the size of the unit. It is very small but seems rugged enough for an accidental drop not to destroy it. Someone may like the WII style features of remote for games, but I feel that this is a wasted feature.

Awesome features, easy to use and set up

Bought this to use for streaming straight to tv and free up my laptop. Very glad I did! Super easy to just plug in and attach to tv, picked right up on wireless network in the home. Few minutes of registering my different sites used on internet and was watching favorite show in minutes.

not really better than a roku 2 720p because all content is 720p anyway. Netflix app has NO categories and is therefore awful! I do like the remote's headphone jack and the ability to surf on my ipad and have the content streamed automatically to the roku3.
