We are using the Roku in addition to our Dish TV subscription. I could easily see dumping cable and relying just on the Roku with the content available through it. With just Netflix and Pandora we have our tv and music covered. My only hope is that Roku adds a sound output on the box so people like me can hook it up to our house sound systems. My TV has no audio out and neither does the Roku so I'm stuck with Pandora through the TV speakers...but, that's a very small issue. Overall, I'd recommend the product to anyone and everyone.

Great Device, but the service fees add up!

I'll keep this brief; The Roku as hardware is fantastic! The video quality is great, the sound is good, it processes the streamed data better than any other device I've tested. Only thing that I don't like, is the added fees of all the services. I wish we got six months free Spotify with purchase or the like. It just seems that everything I bought the Roku for costs more and more, nickle and dimeing myself to death.

I bought a Samsung smart tv and a Roku 3 at the same time about a month ago because the sales guy said the Roku would be easier to use than the samsungs system. He was soooo right. Things load faster and the interface is so smooth and the remote is so simple to use. I've been using it mostly for netflix and youtube so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am really glad I bought my Roku--I just wish that the remote control wasn't as cumbersome to use, moving from menu to menu. I LOVE how easy it is to set up apps from my computer instead of having to type in all that log-in information.

I bought this Roku 3 about 3 weeks ago and I am very impressed with its performance. One thing I noticed was the movies are much brighter and have better color. I pulled up one of the movies offered by my cable company aand at the same time pulled up the same movie on the Roku. Even though my cable company has told me that they are delivering HD to my house, their picture was not nearly as good as the Roku. I am very happy with my purchase and have just bought a second one for my sister.

We've been using Roku since Feb. it's a great way to use Netflix from the TV vs. via mail without paying for digital service to the cable company. We have found that the free movie selection thru the Roku channels isn't very good. However Roku is great with their customer service, we selected a movie that we thought was free but turned out it was a $15 purchase, they credited us for our mistake.
