I bought my Ruku 3 about a month ago, I am a little disappointed in that there is very little that does not cost addi'l money, and what is free is of very poor quality. Overall, though I like it and it is much more cost effective than cable or a dish.

Even better than the LT

I've had this for about a mouth and like it better than the LT. I mainly use it for Nexflix and I like that I don't have to go back and click the next episode it does it on it's own and after five episodes it will ask if I'm still watching what I already was.

Wireless strength issues, otherwise good.

We love the channels and the features with the Roku and our son loves the Angry Birds game but we have had horrible issues with it cutting in and out and being very slow to load. We don't have any other issues with other devices in the home and it always reads the wirless signal as strong. We even turn all other wifi using equipment off in our home and make sure it is out in the open when using it and it is still very slow. It cuts in and out about 3 times per a 30 mins show. We had planned to buy two more Roku's and get rid of cable but at this point it doesn't seem like a good idea.

I bought my Roku 3 about a month ago, as part of a campaign to eliminate the dreaded Cable Bill by using over-the-air broadcast TV for real-time network material and streaming of day-old cable programs. It turns out that I ended up with much more than expected: the availability of the extra content from Amazon Instant, NetFlix, and HuluPlus (at very low cost) provided us with much better entertainment than cable alone. We've found that getting the cable shows a day late is no problem, because there's generally very little immediacy associated with them, and we don't need a DVR because of the extent of content available for streaming. And, BTW, setup was a breeze -- it worked exactly like it claimed and was exceptionally intuitive. The only slight pain is having to do searches by moving the cursor step-by-step and pressing an OK button -- and this was largely eliminated by downloading the Roku app for my Android mobile device and employing it as a virtual keyboard. It would be nice if the ability to directly stream media from a mobile/desktop browser were available as a free feature for the Roku box, given the premium price of the Roku, but this can be done using the relatively-expensive PlayOn app.

We have two Roku 3s and and an Apple TV. We strongly prefer the Roku for most things and when we don't need to link a computer to show our computer screen or use our iTunes library.
Its odd but one of them works flawlessly and the other regularly loses our Netflix password. Trying to understand the issue.
The means of inputting the passwords on a Roku is a bit painful, with no shift lock (or its not obvious) which makes putting in a password with caps a poor experience. Apple TV has a capitalized keyboard you can switch to.
The Roku app for the iPhone suffers from a slow connection to the Roku as it doesn't properly input passwords pasted in. It will drop multiple parts of the password which drives you back to using the less than enjoyable text input on the Roku itself.
A nice feature: auto play the next episode which is great for those of us who are serial watchers of a series one episode after the other. It works well.
Overall I recommend the Roku 3 as a strong buy.

Love the channels, but needs more vid formats

I love how you can add channels even ones not from the store (Private Channels.) The remote works fine, love how you can connect headphones to the remote.
I also really love that I can stream from my PC, I use Twonky to serve video, but the Roku player is very limited in what formats it will play, I always have to convert my vido to MKV files to work, it is supposed to work with MP4 but they all seem not to work. I wish they would add AVI, MPG, WMV at least, my TV will play all of them with no problem (Smart TV) so will my BlueRay player.
Other than that the Roku is really nice.

I love it!!! Love the options. Great for kids rooms The only thing is you have to pay for almost everything:((( I cant afford it. I miss my satellite because any t.v. show you have to wait the next day to watch.

More problems than it is worth, I upgraded to end the "waiting loading" problems and it is much worse!
