Great product but lacks documentation

I've now had my Roku for about a month. Use it often, and it works great. Never knew what I was missing with streaming video, and wish I had bought it a long time ago. I use mine primarily for netflix. My only complaint is that it took a lot of time to initially set up. I eventually figured out that I had to first turn off the firewall on my router to the address of the player. There was no mention of this in any Roku documentation. I figured it out by reading the blogs of others who had similar problems.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It was incredibly easy to set up and use. The on screen set up was very clear and concise I had it running within 15 minutes. There are many viewing choices which is great. Captioning was also easy to turn on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very, very slow to load....works OK on first day and after that It has been a nightmare

I now have 2 Roku's now and my family loves watching Netflix and the kids like the games. It seems to be very stable and streaming video is flawless.

Buying the Roku 3 was the best thing ever,I'm disabled at home and like to watch movies and Roku has opened up many many more movies.

The device is excellent. It is user friendly and easy to install. The acceptability of the content depends on what the user wants and expects and what options are selected for on-going viewing. I value it for streaming Pandora music alone. It allows direct connection to a home entertainment surround sound system without advertising. I am disappointed about the huge number of movies and TV series available and yet I find it difficult to locate one I actually want to see all the way through (that goes to the industry, non the equipment). To me, this is a good alternative to costly satellite or cable where one pays for many channels and watches only a few.

I like my Roku 3. The downside I find is that many of the apps on it you have to pay monthly subscriptions for. That's not totally bad, but I already pay for cable. After a few apps it really can start to add up. I think I will get even more use out of it once I cut off my cable and stick with the monthly subscriptions I use. I like that it is easy to use. It took a little getting used to, but now that I've got the hang of it, it's not bad at all. I think the Roku 3 is a great addition to how we watch tv, listen to music, and much more.

My Roku arrived on time as advertised. It was simple to set up and I was watching my Netflix movies within about 5 minutes. I have since "cut the cable" to my cable company and have not regretted that decision.
