I really enjoy my Roku because I can watch more types of venues than are available on my cable subscription and of course for less money, in fact I'm considering reducing my cable content which will reduce my monthly bill. Thanks Roku!!!

BOUGHT THIS FOR MYSELF OVER XMAS, WAS VERY EXCITED TO GET INTO WATCHING ON DEMAND TV... UNTIL I ACTUALLY STARTED TO WATCH THE MOVIES... CONSTANTLY STOPPING FOR COMMERCIALS, THIS IS STUPID, THERE SHOULD BE A BONUS TO BUYING THIS DEVICE COMPARED TO WATCHING NORMAL CABLE.... ALL THE MOVIES ARE VERY OLD. CONTROLS ARE EASY AND DOWNLOAD SPEEDS ARE GREAT... OVERALL I AM FINDING MYSELF NEVER USING THE DEVICE AS IT IS THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE AS NORMAL CABLE, JUST OLDER SHOWS... PLUS THE SPORTING EVENTS ARE ALMOST ALWAYS BLACKED OUT. GET A LAPTOP AND AND HDMI AND CONNECT TO YOUR TV, WAY BETTER.

Almost complete replacement of cable

The Roku 3 is a magic little box! It is lightening fast, and there's almost no lag in navigating through any menu (Roku homescreen, or in any of the apps).
This is almost a complete cable cutting device. As long as you have internet, there is tons of content available with no subscriptions required. The addition of the YouTube app was a necessary, and deal breaking, step for Roku to take. However, there is still much more room for improvement.
It is clear that streaming devices, like the Roku, will reign as well as the set top boxes from the cable providers once did. The company with the most subscription free (subsidized by ads) content WILL win....plain and simple...
If the "gaming" aspect of the device is improved, you will have a flawless device. You can basically have a cable box / Wii in one machine...and this will be incorporated in every family living room....just like the Wii and cable box once were.
I would recommend this to a friend!

, I didn't like the fact that there was no browser, . they were 1000 channels but is like having 1000 pay per view channels.

I bought this Roku 3 to replace a 1 year old Western Digital Live media player. The WD would lock up and buffer alot. The Roku has never dropped a show or locked up. It is very fast and easy to use. 2 thumbs up.
