A great addition for my TV Viewing

I bought this (and a Roku 2) primarily to watch MLB.TV. I am impressed with the clarity of the picture and the availability of other content. Watch a movie at home for the first time in years and was very happy with the picture and sound quality.

I bought a few weeks ago and enjoy all the features of the ruku most of all the head set i can watch movies without bothering the rest of the house hold

I LOVE THIS THING. I REALLY ENJOY BEING ABLE TO WATCH ANYTHING I WANT AT ANYTIME. IT'S A SIMPLE SET-UP AND IS EASY TO USE. BETWEEN AMAZON PRIME AND YOU TUBE I ALMOST WATCH THE ROKU EXCLUSIVLY. I'VE ALREADY SOLD 2 TO FRIENDS.

Being on a fixed income I cannot subscribe to the multi-channel plans my cable company offers. All I get are the major networks and shopping channels.
My purchase of the Roku player fixed this problem. There are so many channels available for all ages including a comic channel, public TV, The History Channel, and, of course, Netflix. I highly recommend the Roku player to anyone who wishes a variety of choices of channels, and programing. I especially like the Western channel as it has many shows I watched as a young boy.
It as also much better of a device than Google or other companies offer
Try it first, try it last, just try it!!!

I purchased this device because I needed CC. Have Vizio wireless tv, with apps. Vizio will not update software, its been 2 years, this has option for CC.

A great buy! If it were not for a few special favorites offered on DISH, I would get rid of DISH and go strictly with Roku. With Roku and DISH, I have it all, and I can watch what I want, when I want!!

The perfect OTA supplement

For those of us who "cut the cord" from cable and satellite, the Roku 3 was the perfect addition for online programming in addition to the "over-the-air" content we enjoy. Now we have free access to our local news and networks plus relatively low-cost streaming services (i.e. Netflix & Amazon Prime). Also am looking forward to learning about the all the free content Roku offers.
