Efficient little device !!!

This was my Christmas present. I have so enjoyed watching without commercials. I love the idea of stopping and starting at anytime. I love the idea of saved information for another day. I love the device,and the handy (small) remote.

I got this player and a Chromecast after checking out the three major products (Apple TV, Chromecast & Roku). The chromecast got returned the next day, it didn't install easily in my home and it did not suit my needs at all. I setup a friend's Apple TV and hated that (too Apple centric and the remote was terrible). The Roku is getting a lot of use here. The headphone jack on the remote is genius! I am now in the process of loading my movies onto a hard drive and accessing those from the Roku as well.

I bought this to save money and not have cable, and I looooove it so much!!! I do not even miss cable what so ever! There are so many channels you can get, so you really are not missing out. I have recommended to everyone!

The Best Thing Since Dutch Apple Pie!

The Roku Player, both new and old, have offered the end user a product that has been needed in today's corporate owned mainstream broadcast media. So much of what is put out by the major broadcast channels is tabloid in nature, that the viewer has very little choice. Roku gives the viewer that choice. This is what I have been waiting for!
